The science of money stress.

And how to reverse it.

Is this quote true for you?

“So far this year, I’ve been focused on setting myself up for success. I’m investing more money in my business than I ever have in the past…

And it’s SCARY!”

I just wrapped up this month’s group meeting with my Financial Fitness coaching clients, and everyone could relate to this problem.

See, these business owners are making intentional spending decisions - on things like branding and website updates, new marketing strategies and service offerings, and implementing a more rigorous client vetting process - that will help them level up.

But that doesn’t change the fact that when you’re having a day where it feels like money is flying out the door faster than it’s coming in, your body physically responds to that stress.

First, your emotional brain is activated, and the stress hormone cortisol starts pumping through your veins. Then, you become convinced you’re doing everything wrong, and your thoughts are hijacked by awful worst case scenarios.

So how do you stop that runaway thought train?

Turn off your emotional brain and activate your logical brain, by replacing far-fetched what-ifs with cold hard facts.

In short: Get eyes on your numbers.

It worked for each of these amazing clients, who have worked with me to develop tools and strategies so they can review their financial facts quickly and easily.

They all agreed that knowing their numbers and being able to look at them any time helps them remain calm, breathe, and trust the process.
