Halloween Decor got me Thinking...
It's officially spooky season.
Walking around or running errands, I recently started noticing festive fall decorations everywhere.
This inevitably lead to questions from my children about why our house had NO "fall y'all" spirit.
Here's what we've managed to do:
|
I took my 6-year-old to Michaels and let him pick out this diorama kit and build it. It's less than one foot tall.
Level of effort: Basically none.
Here's a delightful scene I passed on a walk this week:
So many creatures! So much whimsy!
Level of effort: At least some planning, purchasing and staging. I'd guess it came together in a weekend.
Now buckle up for the main event:
Yes, those two skeletons are taller than the house. There are at least twenty more small ones outside of the frame.
Someone moves them around in different poses from time to time. Every time we drive by, we shout "SKELLY PARTY!"
Level of effort: Either years of collecting or 34+ trips to Menards.
My takeaway? We all have different interests, skills and zones of genius. It makes the world a better (and more fun) place.
