For Budget Haters.

Ever thought, “I’ve tried budgeting before but I’ve never been able to stick to it.”

What if it’s not your fault?

Here’s the classic way that most people think about budgeting:

Make a line item for the category of expense you have and set a dollar amount to stay below.

Repeat 70 times.

Get worn out and decide budgeting is the worst.

Here’s the thing: This process does work for detail people who want a lot of information and like to slice and dice numbers.

It doesn’t work for people who want the big picture or whose eyes glaze over looking at a busy spreadsheet.

And the good news is, it’s not the only way!

There are so many ways to manage your spending in a way that works for you, from small tweaks to totally overhauling the way you think about what it means to budget.

That’s why I recently sat down to chat with my friend Erika Greeney about budgeting.

We got into one of my favorite budget tools, plus lots of tips to make budgeting work for you, even you’ve always been a budget hater.

If you’re curious about things like:

  • where to start if you only have 2 minutes,
  • how to keep things simple if you get overwhelmed by details, or
  • what to do if you just can’t stand looking back at historical spending
  • you’ll learn that and so much more in this conversation.
